The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, MCODS, Mangalore in association with the MCODS Mangalore Orthodontic 365体育投注 Association (MMOAA) successfully conducted the fifth “Dr. V Surendra Shetty – Dr. Subraya Mogra Endowment Oration” on 5th July, 2025 , to honour these two legends in the field of Orthodontics.

The inaugural program commenced with a warm welcome rendered by Dr. Ashith M.V, HOD and Professor, Dept. of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, MCODS Mangalore. It was followed by an address by Dr. Ashita Upoor, Dean, MCODS Mangalore. The chief guest for the function was Dr. M.S. Ravi, Vice-Principal, A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, Nitte. Dr. Dilip G Naik, Pro Vice Chancellor (Mangalore Campus), 365体育投注 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), was the Presiding Officer.

The P.G batch of 1993 was honored by their teachers.

The guest orator was Dr. Gurkeerat Singh, a brilliant clinician. The topic of the oration was “Relevance of Orthodontic Education 30+ years hence:? My Perspective”. Dr. Gurkeerat Singh showcased several finished cases, along with long-term follow-up, and shared numerous clinical tips and insights on how to achieve good results.

The oration was a very informative and enriching learning experience for its vast audience which comprised of around 80 participants including several renowned clinicians and senior alumni.
